“Your new Italian family”
This is a difficult review to write. Let's get right down to what you really need to know: Book it. La Maison de Lise is an exceptional centuries-old building, modernized with an incredible eye for design, to the highest levels of functionality and comfort. The rooms are elegantly simple and every inch has been carefully considered almost as if what you want is being provided seconds before you want it. The pictures, like a work of art, as good as they look, do not do this B&B justice. As comfortable and enjoyable as the B&B is alone -- and you could enjoy it just for that -- it would be a shame to miss an equally enjoyable part of staying here: Diego and Carla (who speak Italian, French, and a fair amount of English at least). We were greeted with drinks on the patio, with a French couple who were also guests, and spoke at length in various languages as if this is just what we always do on this day of the week. We were at the disadvantage, speaking English and little more, but not once did we feel anything less than friends around the table. These are exceptional people who I hope to see again. The building is tastefully decorated with hints of the owners love of classic rock, in the garage 2 beautiful examples of American motorcycles (with the same level of detail appointed to them), and a quiet little town center within walking distance with some great food. Our short stay only included the B&B the breakfast, which far exceed our expectations for a buffet. We missed dinner enjoying wine on the patio! This being my first trip to Italy, within 20 minutes of crossing Little St Bernard Pass from France, I couldn't imagine a better way to be welcomed than our stay at La Maison de Lise B&B. We will create a reason to return.

“A casa di amici”
E' proprio così che ci si sente, da Diego e Carla. La casa, ristrutturata con grande gusto e cura dei particolari, è davvero bella: tutta giocata su legno (spesso recuperato) e pietra, è calda senza essere rustica. Le notti sono benevolmente vegliate da star del rock del calibro di Clapton, Bowie e Hendrix - i cui ritratti campeggiano sulle scale e nelle camere, e le cui voci sono diffuse in ogni ambiente. La colazione è molto curata e molta attenzione è posta ai prodotti di eccellenza del territorio. Ma questo può darsi non sia difficile da trovare. Ciò che fa davvero la differenza sono i proprietari, due persone deliziose e molto ospitali, un incontro fortunato - come capitano di rado. Ci tornerò presto - è una promessa.

“Perfect the first visit. Better the next.”
We stayed here last year and one often wonders if the perfect visit was just a one off. Emphatically, no.
La Maison is indeed perfect. The same expansive breakfast the same spotlessly clean rooms and our wonderful hosts Diego and Carla.
They went out of their way to enhance our visit in ways that simply don't exist anywhere else we stay (close to forty countries now).
In short, one can not really go wrong with La Maison de Lise.
Then add in the location; perfect for access to the mountains, white water rafting and amazing food.
We have made plans to return next year.

“Mieux qu un hotel”
Idéalement placé au calme dans un petit hameau typique notre accueil a été super de la part des propriétaires, la chambre magnifique avec une superbe vue sur la vallée et une baignoire immense dans la chambre.
L ensemble est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et rivalise avec beaucoup de chambres d hotel avec plusieurs étoiles.
Un énorme petit déjeuner compris dans le prix de la chambre et les bons conseils de Diego nous ont rendu notre séjour inoubliable.
Un endroit que l on va retenir et où l'on va très prochainement revenir

Mio marito ed io ci siamo concessi una fuga romantica nel posto giusto: ambiente curatissimo, vero senso dell'ospitalità ! Il b&b e' un gioiellino moderno in un borgo senza tempo; la colazione è tra le più curate, abbondante e tipica, con delicatezze da chef stellato; i proprietari sono davvero disponibili ed ospitali, pronti con indicazioni e suggerimenti da cogliere assolutamente. L'ambiente circostante è a misura d'uomo, di pace e silenzio. Più di così... D'ora in poi sarà il nostro rifugio! Un abbraccio a Diego e Carla!

En un mot: Parfait! Un accueil plus que chaleureux dans un cadre magnifique. Les chambres modernes et rustiques à la fois sont d'une qualité exemplaire! Stylisées et conçues par le propriétaire designer, vous aurez l'occasion de passer un séjour dans un endroit où il a mis tout son style et goût! Un petit déjeuner avec des produits uniquement régionaux et artisanaux. Un régal! Une région magnifique en été et hiver. Un endroit calme, mais proches à la fois pour les excursions de tout art. un +++!

Curatissimo e di altissima qualità Ospitalità ricercatezza nei particolari e pulizia sono solo tre aggettivi per descrivere questo incantevole B&B. Consigliatissimo!
Colazione abbondante e raffinata.
La camera con l'idromassaggio è praticamente una suite di un Hotel a 5 stelle..

La Maison de Lise was our first stop and a welcome resting place after many long days of adventure. Almost immediately we were greeted by the notorious owner, Diego, who was thrilled to see my father and his girlfriend, Kristin, for their second stay with him and welcomed Kristin’s daughter and I eagerly. I fell in love with the beautiful bed and breakfast as soon as I walked in the door. My father had explained to me that Diego had built and designed everything himself and his hard work was evidenced in the pristine interior. Our room had an exquisite view of the mountains and hosted a magnificent sunrise each and every morning. Breakfast was amazing, fresh and warm croissants were a welcome start to the day partnered with a cup of tea and a smile from our host. We quickly settled in and spent lots of time with Diego throughout the course of our stay, he taught us some Italian and we taught him from English. Surprisingly, for a man who learned most of his English from classic rock songs, Diego knew tons and only asked for a word once in a while.
My heart stomach now belongs to the beautiful Aosta Valley and I know that I will return there many many times to visit Diego, eat my fill of Italian food, hike some more, and take in everything that this incredible region has to offer. I can’t wait to go back.

Sono tornata per la seconda volta in questo b&b e posso solo confermare tutto quello che di buono avevo già scritto nella recensione dell'anno scorso. Struttura impeccabile sotto ogni punto di vista, primo tra tutti la pulizia. Un Sogno! Esperienza indimenticabile...sin dal primo contatto via mail con Diego mi sono trovata benissimo!disponibile, gentile, esaustivo e sempre di buon umore... una volta conosciuto lui assieme alla moglie considerate il tutto al cubo! la loro maison è un vero angolo di paradiso, camera pulitissima, colazione appetitosa e ubicazione strategica! che dire...a mooolto presto!

"I dettagli fanno la differenza", è proprio vero, è molto difficile trovare una struttura così ben curata in ogni minimo dettaglio.
Le camere sono meravigliose ed il design delle stesse ti fa venir voglia di tornare, filodiffusione con musica "che ci sta dentro alla troppa", quando si scende a fare colazione arrivano coccole da tutte le parti... cibo DOC e attenzioni che nemmeno la mamma dopo la promozione te le riservava. Che dire di più?
Diego e Carla sono due ragazzi speciali.

Arrivati per breve vacanza regalata dai figli: evidentemente hanno occhio per le cose belle... Struttura curatissima, con mille piccole note di attenzione estetica e funzionale: dalla vasca idromassaggio in camera alle porte interne in legno grezzo, dalle luci a led con accensione automatica (anche come segnapassi sui gradini della scala interna) ai piacevoli pannelli con foto dei miti rock.... Uno si aspetta, in montagna, di trovare pietra grezza e legno, e ci sono, ma stavolta si trova un contrasto piacevole con note di estrema modernità. E, corollario importante, la cortesia non invasiva di Diego, che ci indica dove cenare e dove effettuare acquisti enogastronomici, fondamentali in val d'Aosta. Esprit de finesse, esprit de geometrie..
